Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our busy manufacturing environment. The role will manage the procurement of direct and indirect materials and services, ensuring a reliable supply chain that supports production requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships, issue RFQs, create purchase orders and monitor delivery schedules.
• Expedite orders, resolve supplier issues, non‑conformances and handle returns.
• Source new suppliers and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support dual‑sourcing strategies to mitigate supply risk.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Engineering and other internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data in the ERP system.
• Monitor supplier performance and communicate potential supply risks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong supplier management and negotiation abilities.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• IPICS/APICS training or qualification is desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems.
