Buying Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Buying Coordinator to join the Commercial team of Ireland’s leading DIY and accessories retailer in Dublin. In this role you will support the buying function by managing supplier data, monitoring stock flow and ensuring promotional information is accurate and up‑to‑date.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update supplier price files, resolving pricing queries promptly.
• List new product lines, process purchase orders and guarantee on‑time delivery for seasonal and promotional ranges.
• Keep packaging, sustainability and space‑planning information current in internal systems.
• Update promotional folders with accurate details for marketing and wider teams.
• Liaise with suppliers on orders, packaging styles, shipping details and delivery schedules.
• Track container arrivals, verify duty rates and book goods into systems, allocating stock appropriately.

Required profile

• Strong commercial awareness, preferably with retail experience.
• Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail.
• Collaborative, solutions‑oriented approach to working with suppliers, stores and internal departments.
• Ability to manage time‑sensitive tasks independently.
• Previous experience in buying coordination, administration or purchasing support is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
