About the role
The Mater University Hospital’s ESGO‑accredited Gynaecological Oncology Service is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist (GO CNS) to join its multidisciplinary team. This role supports a leading national centre that diagnoses over 300 women annually with gynaecological cancers and provides advanced treatments such as complex cytoreductive surgery and HIPEC.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver and coordinate survivorship programmes for ovarian and cervical cancer patients.
- Provide specialist nursing care to women undergoing complex gynaecological oncology procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists and allied health professionals to ensure seamless patient pathways.
- Support the administration of Hypothermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) where required.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within the oncology department.
Required profile
- Registered Nurse with specialist qualification or experience in gynaecological oncology.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a high‑volume tertiary cancer centre.
- Strong communication skills for patient education and multidisciplinary collaboration.
