Clinical Python Developer

About the role

ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation. As a Clinical Python Developer you will turn complex clinical data into meaningful insights, using advanced analytics and visualisation solutions to support data-driven decisions across clinical trials. The role sits at the intersection of clinical research, data science and visualisation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver within a continuous improvement framework, covering systems deployment, lifecycle management and enhancements supported by user groups.
• Contribute to initiatives that speed up and improve report development and change management services for analytics platforms.
• Apply technical expertise with clinical data and report building, drawing on experience with diverse business processes and system infrastructures.
• Work in a matrix environment across functions and departments.

Required profile

• 4+ years' experience as a Python programmer, visualisation developer or business analyst using data warehouse pipelines.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python for data transformation and manipulation.
• Understanding of CDSIC-guided data structures in a regulated clinical trial environment.
• Preferred: mapping experience, domain-specific therapeutic area knowledge, Databricks experience and employment rights in the country where the role is based.

Required skills

• Python, with Pyspark preferred and Pandas considered.
• Data visualisation tools such as Tibco Spotfire, Power BI, Tableau or Qlik.
