Cloud Architect – Secure Enterprise Cloud Design

About the role

We are partnering with a leading insurance client to drive a large‑scale cloud transformation. The Cloud Architect will lead the design, governance and compliance of secure, scalable cloud solutions across a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design secure enterprise cloud architectures, landing zones and networking models.
• Define and enforce cloud governance aligned with NIST, DORA and GDPR requirements.
• Map application and integration dependencies to support migration planning and cut‑over readiness.
• Facilitate architecture workshops and stakeholder design reviews with engineering teams.
• Identify architectural risks and propose remediation strategies for deployment and operational challenges.
• Support Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible, and guide automated cloud deployments.
• Provide architectural guidance throughout cloud migration and transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise cloud architecture, migration programmes and governance frameworks.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
• Strong understanding of NIST‑aligned security frameworks, DORA and GDPR.
• Proven stakeholder engagement and solution design experience in regulated environments.
