Cloud Engineer – Contract (up to €450/day)

About the role

We are looking for a senior Cloud Engineer to join a leading financial institution in Dublin. You will help drive the cloud enablement strategy by building new solutions and improving existing ones while working in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create and implement new software solutions as part of the cloud enablement strategy.
• Maintain and enhance existing cloud‑based applications.
• Ensure code meets strict standards for accessibility, security, object‑oriented design, and performance.
• Write and execute unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate daily with developers, QA engineers, and project managers.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in Cloud Engineering, preferably with Azure and/or AWS.
• Proven experience writing infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform, including Terraform Enterprise and Sentinel.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Maven, Jenkins).
• Solid programming skills in Java or Python.
• Linux/UNIX system administration background.
• Cloud security knowledge (Azure Policy, Azure Defender, Azure Sentinel) is essential.
• Relevant cloud provider certifications are a plus.
