Commercial Director – Senior Leadership Role in Ireland

About the role

Egis is seeking an experienced Commercial Director to join its UK&I leadership team. Based in Dublin, you will shape commercial strategy, protect margins and drive sustainable revenue growth across complex infrastructure programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide commercial leadership across all UK&I service lines, acting as the senior escalation point for risk and opportunity.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve commercial policies, processes and governance frameworks.
• Lead contract administration, ensuring compliance, early‑warning processes and effective variation/claim management.
• Negotiate and advise on contract terms pre‑ and post‑award, mitigating commercial risks.
• Oversee cost management and commercial reporting, delivering accurate forecasts and performance visibility.
• Manage Work in Progress, revenue recognition and debtor positions in line with accounting standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in contract management (NEC and other standard forms) within engineering or consulting environments.
• Proven track record in cost and commercial reporting, bid strategy development and revenue growth.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, working with technical directors, project managers and client‑facing teams.
• Ability to lead senior commercial decision‑making and risk mitigation.
