Commercial Driving Apprentice

About the role

The Commercial Driving Apprentice will join ATCATC's Transport Operations team, supporting delivery routes across Ireland, the UK and Europe. This two‑year apprenticeship combines on‑the‑job training with one college day per week and leads to a QQI Level 6 Higher Certificate in Business in Transport Services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and operate delivery vehicles, ensuring all equipment, documentation and PPE are ready for each client site.
• Safely load, unload and transport IT hardware, reporting any mechanical or safety issues promptly.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules, communicating any delays or changes to planners.
• Unpack, position and install server racks and other IT hardware, regularly lifting 30‑40 kg (up to 50 kg occasionally).
• Complete fibre and copper cabling to required standards.
• Maintain accurate digital and manual documentation, including delivery logs and checklists.
• Adhere to health, safety, security and client procedures at all times.
• Perform daily administrative tasks and support additional duties as needed.

Required profile

• Willingness to obtain C and CE driving licences.
• Ability to work on‑site across Ireland, the UK and Europe.
• Strong commitment to safety, punctuality and professional customer service.
• Physical capability to lift heavy equipment regularly.
• Interest in technical services and logistics operations.
