Commercial Lead

About the role

Tritech Engineering is seeking an experienced Commercial Lead to manage the financial and contractual aspects of its Key Works projects. You will work on high‑profile assignments for clients such as data‑centre operators, the Office of Public Works, the HSE and major third‑level institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate project estimates by analysing scope, specifications and site conditions.
• Lead tender conversion, ensuring commercial viability and competitive pricing.
• Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers and subcontractors while maintaining company standards.
• Draft, review and administer all contractual documentation for Key Works projects.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce regular financial reports for senior management, highlighting risks and performance.
• Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage disputes or claims and ensure contractual compliance.
• Collaborate closely with Mechanical and Electrical Project Managers to ensure seamless delivery.
• Oversee preparation and submission of interim claims and final accounts.

Required profile

• Degree (Level 7 or higher) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field, or a Mechanical/Electrical trade qualification with substantial commercial experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in commercial, estimating, quantity surveying or project management within construction or engineering.
• Proven ability to manage large, multidisciplinary projects and build strong client and supplier relationships.

Required skills

• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge in construction/engineering projects.
• Experience with project budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Negotiation and risk‑assessment capabilities.
