Commercial Lead – M&E Projects

About the role

Tritech Engineering is seeking an experienced Commercial Lead to own the financial and contractual management of Key Works projects across a diverse portfolio that includes data centres, healthcare facilities, and large commercial developments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop accurate project estimates by analysing scope, specifications and conducting site visits.
• Lead tender conversion, ensuring opportunities are competitively priced and secured.
• Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers and subcontractors, maintaining favourable terms.
• Draft, review and manage all contractual documentation for Key Works projects.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare regular financial reports for senior management, highlighting risks and performance.
• Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage disputes or claims and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Collaborate closely with Mechanical and Electrical Project Managers to ensure seamless delivery.
• Engage with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to build strong relationships.
• Oversee preparation and submission of interim claims and final accounts.

Required profile

• Degree (Level 7 or higher) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline, or a Mechanical/Electrical trade qualification with significant commercial experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial, estimating, quantity surveying or project management within the construction or engineering sector, preferably M&E contracting.
