About the role
The National Cancer Control Programme (NCCP) is seeking a Communications Officer at Grade VII to join its team in Dublin. This permanent, whole‑time position will support the NCCP’s communication activities across health regions and with the Department of Health.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement communication strategies that promote NCCP initiatives.
- Produce a range of communication materials, including press releases, newsletters, and digital content.
- Liaise with health regions, the Department of Health and external partners to ensure consistent messaging.
- Manage media relations and respond to enquiries on NCCP programmes.
- Travel to health regions as required to support regional communication activities.
Required profile
- Open to both HSE and non‑HSE applicants.
- Eligible to work in Ireland.
- Willingness to travel to health regions as part of the role.
- Commitment to a permanent, whole‑time position.
Required skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience in producing public‑facing communication materials.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
