Construction Estimator

About the role

Townmore Construction is looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join its expanding commercial team. You will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates and competitive tender submissions for a variety of projects across Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender documents for diverse construction projects.
• Analyse drawings, specifications and contract documents to define project requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop Bills of Quantities and pricing schedules where required.
• Identify project risks, value‑engineering opportunities and cost‑saving measures.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
• Support the commercial team during handover and post‑tender negotiations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date estimating records and market cost data.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an estimator within the construction industry.
• Multidiscipline estimating ability across various construction sectors.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, procurement and sequencing.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent commercial awareness, analytical and organisational skills.
• Effective communication and relationship‑building capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with estimating software.
