Construction Manager – Civil/Structural Projects

About the role

Our client seeks an experienced Construction Manager to lead multiple civil and structural projects at a Waterford site. The role combines hands‑on site supervision with stakeholder coordination to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, chair meetings and produce minutes.
• Review, approve and manage project documentation, ensuring strict deadline adherence.
• Oversee quality control, safety measures, PSCS compliance, and sign‑off of RAMs.
• Resolve technical issues, support subcontractors, and respond to RFIs.
• Maintain clear communication with all parties, keeping them informed of progress and changes.

Required profile

• Engineering qualification or related technical discipline, preferably civil/structural.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical or similar regulated environment is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building relationships at all levels.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction industry practices, safety and quality management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Familiarity with project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project or similar).
• Knowledge of safety management systems.
• Knowledge of quality management processes.
