Construction Manager – Energy & Industry Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Construction Manager to join our Energy and Industry team, overseeing nationwide EPC projects that deliver transmission and distribution solutions. The role involves leading construction and installation phases, ensuring health, safety, environmental standards and quality are met.

Key responsibilities

• Promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters in partnership with the SHESQ department.
• Overall management of project teams during construction and installation phases.
• Coordinate constructability input during solution identification and development.
• Allocate construction staff to projects based on experience, skills and knowledge.
• Work with Project Managers to size and skill‑mix the construction resource pool.
• Manage construction resources including labour, plant and materials.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to schedules and man‑hour budgets.
• Ensure all activities comply with Health and Safety legislation, CDM Regulations and quality procedures.

Required profile

• Valid CSCS card (relevant type).
• Successful experience as a Construction Manager.
• Proven ability to lead teams and coach performance.
• Knowledge of company policies, especially safety and environmental procedures.
• Experience in planning.
