Construction Manager – Mechanical Projects

About the role

The Construction Manager – Mechanical will lead a team of engineers to deliver mechanical construction projects safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing all aspects of the project scope.

Key responsibilities

• Manage health and safety matters on site, ensuring compliance with company safety procedures.
• Develop and implement construction execution plans, schedules, and subcontract work scopes.
• Oversee site supervision team, including engineers and craft supervisors.
• Coordinate with schedulers, engineers, and foremen to produce constructability reports and project schedules.
• Manage subcontractor scope, tendering, awarding, and control of cost, schedule, quality, and safety.
• Liaise with workshops for prefabrication planning, testing, and documentation.
• Produce weekly/monthly progress reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors on cost management, variations, and negotiations.
• Inspect works for safety, technical specifications, and design compliance.
• Work with QA/QC resources to ensure standards and client specifications are met.

Required profile

• Minimum 5‑7 years experience as a Construction Manager or Project Engineer.
• Experience in mechanical construction within Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Semiconductor, or Oil & Gas sectors.
• Background in equipment installation, piping fabrication, piping installation, and pressure testing.
• Relevant degree preferred.
