Construction Manager – Transmission Power Projects

About the role
Murphy is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead project packages within the transmission power industry. You will ensure that all construction and installation work is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters in partnership with the SHESQ department.
- Overall management of project teams during construction and installation phases.
- Coordinate constructability input during solution identification and development.
- Allocate construction staff to projects based on experience, skills and knowledge.
- Work with Project Managers to size and skill‑mix the construction resource pool.
- Manage construction resources including labour, plant and materials.
- Oversee performance of subcontractors and ensure accountability to schedules and man‑hour budgets.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, CDM Regulations and quality procedures.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager, preferably in transmission or power‑related projects.
- Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractor performance.
