About the role
The Health Service Executive (HSE) is recruiting a Consultant Physician in Geriatric Medicine to provide specialist care for older adults. The position is permanent, whole‑time and split across Wexford General Hospital and IHA Waterford, totaling 18.5 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Provide specialist medical assessment and management for older adults in acute and community settings.
- Deliver care across Wexford General Hospital and IHA Waterford on a part‑time basis (18.5 hours per week).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Required profile
- Medical degree and full registration with the Irish Medical Council.
- Specialist training and accreditation in Geriatric Medicine.
- Experience at consultant level within the HSE or equivalent health service.
Required skills
- Expertise in geriatric clinical assessment and management.
