Court Registrar – Executive Officer

About the role
The Courts Service is recruiting Court Registrars to support the Family, Criminal and Civil courts. As a Court Registrar you will act as the official record keeper, providing pre‑court, in‑court and post‑court support to judges and parties.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate court records and ensure the efficient running of court proceedings.
- Communicate with judges, parties, and court staff, feeding back issues and coordinating administration of justice.
- Provide on‑site support in Naas Court Office and travel to Athy Court Office on a roster basis.
- Manage staff in some offices, including task allocation, performance management and training.
- Collaborate with the Court Office team to ensure smooth operations across Family, Criminal and Civil divisions.
Required profile
- At least 18 years of age on the closing date.
- Meet Irish citizenship and public service eligibility criteria.
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent, or two years of civil service experience, or relevant customer‑facing experience (1‑3 years).
- Strong command of English and ability to follow directions, organise work and communicate clearly.
- Basic ICT competence.
Required skills
- Basic level ICT skills (e.g., standard office software).
