Customer Assistant

About the role

As a Customer Assistant you will work on‑site in a Boots store, reporting to the Assistant or Store Manager. You’ll be the first point of contact for shoppers, helping them at the tills, offering product advice and ensuring a smooth, welcoming store environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers at the checkout, handling transactions efficiently.
• Provide knowledgeable advice on products and recommend items that meet customer needs.
• Promote in‑store offers and schemes, informing shoppers of current promotions.
• Maintain attractive product displays and ensure shelves are well‑stocked.
• Support stockroom activities, including receiving and organising merchandise.
• Keep the store clean, tidy and presentable at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver a consistent, high‑quality shopping experience.

Required profile

• Enjoys working in a fast‑paced, varied environment.
• Communicates clearly and listens effectively to customers.
• Works well as part of a collaborative team.
• Pays attention to detail and understands the impact of small actions on customer satisfaction.
• Willing to act as a brand ambassador for Boots.
• Previous customer‑service experience is a plus but not essential.
