Customer Service Assistant – Cork City

About the role

You will join a busy retail shop in Cork City Centre, delivering friendly and knowledgeable service to customers. The position supports the Shop Manager in daily operations and ensures the store runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with day‑to‑day shop activities.
• Open and close the shop, including cash‑handling and security procedures.
• Accept and process bets via betting terminals and the EPOS system.
• Maintain high presentation standards and ensure compliance with safety and social responsibility policies.
• Act as a brand ambassador, introducing customers to in‑shop and online offerings.
• Step in to manage the shop and team in the absence of senior managers.

Required profile

• Customer‑service oriented with a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and remain calm.
• Flexible to work 7‑day weeks and adapt to a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Interest in sport and betting events.
