Customer Service Assistant – Retail Betting Shop

About the role

The Customer Service Assistant will deliver an outstanding experience to shoppers at our Wolftone Street location in Limerick. Working closely with the Shop Manager and team, you will help run the betting shop smoothly, handling customer enquiries, bets and cash transactions while maintaining high standards of presentation and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with daily store operations.
• Open and close the shop, including cash management and security procedures.
• Accept and process customer bets via betting terminals and the EPOS system.
• Guide the shop team in the absence of managers, ensuring smooth operations.
• Maintain shop presentation standards and adhere to safety, compliance and social responsibility policies.
• Promote the brand and introduce customers to multi‑channel and digital betting options.

Required profile

• Customer‑service oriented with a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail for accurate cash handling.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Flexibility to work 7‑day weeks and adapt to changing shop needs.
• Interest in sports and betting industry, with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience operating EPOS or similar point‑of‑sale systems.
• Proven cash‑handling capability.
