Cyber Security Consultant

About the role

Ekco is looking for a Cyber Security Consultant to join its North Dublin office. You will lead technical risk assessments across a wide range of enterprise systems, applications and network environments, helping clients identify vulnerabilities and implement risk‑based security improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical and security risk assessments on systems, applications and network infrastructure.
• Review access controls, user permissions, authentication methods and privileged access management.
• Evaluate network security posture, including open ports, segmentation, firewall configurations and exposure risks.
• Identify security weaknesses, produce remediation recommendations and support implementation.
• Assess data protection controls against security and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align risk assessments with organisational risk appetite.
• Produce clear risk assessment documentation, findings reports and remediation plans.

Required profile

• Experienced technical risk professional with a strong understanding of enterprise IT environments, infrastructure and security best practices.
• Proven ability to communicate risk findings clearly to both technical and business audiences.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams to improve security posture and operational resilience.
