Cybersecurity & AI Governance Lead

About the role

The Cybersecurity & AI Governance Lead is responsible for protecting the organisation’s digital assets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and guiding the safe adoption of AI technologies. This senior position combines cybersecurity leadership with AI risk and governance oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a robust cybersecurity framework, enforcing MFA, role‑based access, and endpoint security.
• Manage external security providers, lead incident response, and conduct risk and vulnerability assessments.
• Maintain security policies, perform SaaS vendor security assessments, and report risk posture to senior leadership.
• Define and enforce AI usage policies, evaluate AI tools for data risk and security, and approve safe AI implementations.
• Ensure strong data protection, governance, and access controls for resident, staff, and operational data.

Required profile

• 5‑8+ years of experience in IT or cybersecurity.
• Advanced proficiency with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot.
• Experience in Microsoft 365 cloud environments and managing external security providers.
• Relevant cyber security certification (CISSP, CISM or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of GDPR and other data‑protection regulations.
