Cybersecurity Consultant (OT/ICS Advisory)

About the role

Arup is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant to support the delivery of cyber‑advisory services across Ireland, Europe and globally, with a strong focus on Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS). You will work on major infrastructure programmes in transport, energy, water and buildings, embedding security and resilience from design through operation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality cyber advisory services to Arup projects and clients.
• Support cybersecurity risk, gap and assurance assessments.
• Develop OT/ICS security requirements, architectures and governance outputs.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand risks and provide clear recommendations.
• Support supplier assurance, documentation reviews and audit readiness.
• Produce structured deliverables such as risk registers, reports, roadmaps and specifications.
• Contribute to proposals, scope development and delivery planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to embed cybersecurity into project outcomes.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification or equivalent experience in cybersecurity, information security, computer science, engineering or related discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, technology risk, security assurance, GRC or related fields.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly and work within multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience advising on risk and vulnerability analysis for built‑environment projects.
