Data Architect – Microsoft Fabric & Data Governance

About the role

We are looking for a Data Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric and data governance to design and deliver modern, scalable data platforms. You will shape enterprise data architecture, establish robust governance frameworks, and enable advanced analytics and AI capabilities across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end data architectures using Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Real‑Time Analytics).
• Lead migration from legacy platforms to cloud‑based solutions.
• Define and enforce data governance, cataloguing, lineage, classification, and stewardship using Microsoft Purview.
• Establish data quality, security, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR).
• Oversee ETL/ELT pipelines, orchestration, and CI/CD practices for data platforms.
• Provide consumable datasets for reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Support AI/ML and advanced analytics use cases.
• Act as technical authority, define standards, and mentor data engineers and analysts.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Proven expertise in data governance and metadata management using Microsoft Purview.
• Experience designing data lakes, lakehouses, or data warehouses.
• Solid understanding of data modelling (dimensional or data vault) and Azure data services.
• Knowledge of data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices for data (CI/CD pipelines, version control).
