Data Center Operations Engineer (Dublin)

About the role

The Data Center Service / Datacenter Cloud System (DCS) team at TikTok is looking for an experienced Data Center Operations Engineer to support hyper‑scale datacenters in Dublin. You will apply technical expertise to diagnose and resolve server and infrastructure issues, guide technicians, and ensure reliable operation of the server fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage ticket queues, prioritize by business impact, and document resolutions.
• Lead day‑to‑day operations, guiding Data Center Technicians and handling hardware troubleshooting, component replacement, power cycles, BIOS/RAID configuration, OS reimaging, and log analysis.
• Execute rack‑and‑stack, cabling, and deployment activities throughout the server lifecycle.
• Support projects such as capacity expansions, retrofits, infrastructure upgrades, and implementation of new tools and processes.
• Participate in incident management, on‑call escalation, root‑cause analysis, and change management processes.
• Maintain accurate inventory, asset tracking, and operational records.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in data‑center operations, IT infrastructure, or hardware support.
• Relevant certification (e.g., EPI CDCP, CNET CDCTP) or equivalent knowledge.
• Strong hands‑on experience with server hardware troubleshooting and support.
• Ability to lead technicians and work independently or within a team.
