Data Center Technician III

About the role

The Data Center Technician III is a senior individual contributor responsible for the reliable and efficient operation of data‑center infrastructure. This role blends hands‑on hardware work with advanced troubleshooting, quality assurance, and adherence to strict operational standards. You will act as a technical resource, mentor junior staff, and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Install, move, and decommission hardware such as cabinets, shelves, power strips, rails, fiber/copper cables, servers, and storage devices.
• Label and verify devices, racks, and cabling to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Process work orders through a ticketing system, providing clear and timely communication.
• Maintain detailed documentation, diagrams, and logs for audit readiness.
• Support monthly operational reviews with clients, delivering performance data and incident insights.
• Follow SOPs, safety, and security policies while meeting quality and productivity targets.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
• Identify and implement process improvements and assist with onboarding new team members.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex installations and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience working in data‑center environments.
• Strong ability to assess and resolve complex technical issues independently.
• Proven track record of following SOPs and maintaining high safety standards.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
