Data Engineer – Python & SQL Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer with strong Python and SQL expertise to join our Letterkenny delivery centre. You will design, build and operate reliable data extraction and processing pipelines that support analytics and reporting for global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL processes using Python for data transformation and automation.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures and optimise database performance.
• Integrate data from structured and semi‑structured sources into relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle or MySQL.
• Contribute to large‑scale architectural migrations and modernisation initiatives within an Agile environment.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and fine‑tune data pipelines to ensure high reliability and performance.
• Document data models, workflows and engineering processes for transparency and maintainability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience building Python‑based data solutions and SQL‑driven ETL pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with relational database technologies.
