Data Steward, Re:Cycle Reverse Logistics

About the role

The Data Steward will support the Re:Cycle Reverse Logistics Operations team, ensuring data consistency and accuracy across global warehouse management systems. This role is essential for maintaining reliable information that drives daily, monthly, and annual planning for a network of 400+ users and millions of transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of system data both inside and outside the application.
• Develop and enforce data standards, policies, procedures, and governance strategies.
• Perform regular data quality assessments, create scorecards, and implement improvement plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and third‑party service providers to understand data requirements and resolve issues.
• Utilize SQL to query, extract, and analyze data for business needs.
• Generate and present data performance metrics and visual reports to leadership.
• Provide training and support on data‑related topics and best practices.
• Manage ticket queues, prioritize work, and support strategic system developments.
• Facilitate migration of legacy data into new systems and test new data in development environments.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented, analytical, and self‑driven.
• Experience auditing and analyzing large data sets.
• Ability to work collaboratively across global teams and with external providers.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to root‑cause and remediate recurring data issues.
• Experience supporting data change‑management initiatives and presenting metrics to leadership.
