Day Service Instructor / Supervisor

About the role

Sunbeam House Services is seeking a qualified Instructor/Supervisor to join its Day Service team in Bray. You will support adults with intellectual disabilities to achieve personal outcomes, develop life‑skills and engage meaningfully in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate a person‑centred approach that respects each client’s wishes, choices and privacy.
• Promote and protect client rights, dignity and wellbeing across health, personal care and daily activities.
• Identify and develop new interests and community roles for clients.
• Assist in teaching life‑skills such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning and confidence‑building.
• Collaborate with the team to manage responsive behaviour positively.

Required profile

• QQI Level 7 in Social Care (or foreign equivalent validated by QQI).
• Minimum HETAC Level 6 qualification in Training, Education, Social Care or related field.
• At least one year of experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities.
• Passion for empowerment, strong teamwork attitude and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of New Directions regulations and relevant legislation.
• Full driving licence and access to a car.

• Proficient IT and report‑writing skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
