About the role
The Deli Assistant is responsible for preparing high‑quality hot and cold deli products while ensuring customer satisfaction is the top priority.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare customer orders across all fresh food areas, including sandwiches, rolls, hot dishes, and sliced meats.
- Cook, prepare, and display foods sold throughout the day.
- Maintain counter displays to the highest standards at all times.
- Share product knowledge, recipes, and personal recommendations with customers.
- Handle customer queries efficiently and professionally in line with store policy.
Required profile
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous customer service experience is an advantage.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment and multitask under pressure.
- A passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers.
- HACCP training is desirable but not mandatory.
