Deputy Principal – International School

About the role

The Deputy Principal will partner with the Principal to drive the strategic vision and daily operations of Lihir International School. This role focuses on strengthening curriculum delivery, enhancing staff capability, and improving student outcomes within a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Principal in implementing the school’s strategic plan, educational goals, and operational priorities.
• Lead curriculum planning, assessment, and reporting for both Australian and PNG curricula, using data to set targets and improve learning.
• Mentor and coach teachers in modern pedagogical practices, curriculum delivery, and professional development.
• Promote a safe, inclusive environment that supports diverse learners, wellbeing, behaviour management, and OHS risk management.
• Coordinate school operations, staff schedules, and key events while building relationships with students, parents, the School Council, and the community.

Required profile

• Proven experience in school leadership or senior teaching roles.
• Strong understanding of Australian and PNG curricula.
• Ability to analyse student data and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
