DevOps Engineer – Azure Cloud Platform

About the role

DOCOsoft is looking for a DevOps Engineer to enable engineering teams to deliver and operate a secure, scalable SaaS platform on Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on automation, CI/CD maturity, infrastructure consistency and production reliability, allowing teams to ship safely and frequently.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and evolve CI/CD pipelines for micro‑services with automated testing, gated promotions and rollback strategies.
• Standardise and automate deployment patterns for containerised workloads, ensuring reproducible, versioned environments.
• Build and maintain Azure infrastructure as code (ARM, Bicep) with peer‑reviewed, traceable changes.
• Reduce manual intervention through automation and engineering improvements.
• Improve system scaling, failover, retry and resilience patterns across services.
• Support service‑level objectives, incident response and post‑incident improvements.
• Strengthen observability (logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting) for production diagnostics.
• Embed security controls into pipelines, including automated scanning and secure dependency practices.
• Enhance secrets management, certificate lifecycle automation and secure container practices.
• Increase cost visibility, implement right‑sizing, scaling policies and lifecycle management.

Required profile

• Strong experience operating production workloads on Azure in cloud‑native environments.
• Proven CI/CD design and implementation experience (Azure DevOps or equivalent).
• Infrastructure as Code expertise with disciplined Git‑based workflows.
• Hands‑on experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration concepts (Kubernetes desirable).
• Practical experience with observability solutions such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights or OpenTelemetry.
• Solid networking fundamentals, TLS, and ingress/egress controls.
• Experience with secrets management (Azure Key Vault) and identity/access controls.
• Strong scripting and automation capability (PowerShell, Bash; Python desirable).
