DevOps Engineer – Build Cutting-Edge Scientific Computing Platform

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing deep‑tech company that sits at the intersection of AI, computational science, and pharmaceutical innovation. As a DevOps Engineer you will design and build the infrastructure that powers advanced simulation and crystal‑structure prediction platforms, enabling faster drug discovery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain self‑hosted CI/CD pipelines that developers love to use.
• Orchestrate containerised workloads across distributed environments.
• Build and operate observability stacks (metrics, dashboards, alerts) for real‑time system insight.
• Own infrastructure‑as‑code and automation from day one, using tools such as Ansible.
• Collaborate directly with R&D scientists and leadership to scale architecture for high‑performance scientific computing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Hands‑on expertise with Docker, Podman or similar container ecosystems.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting abilities.
• Self‑starter mindset comfortable working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins.
• Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, alerting systems.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code: Ansible.
• Programming/Scripting: Python (automation), Bash.
