DevOps Engineer – Build Cutting‑Edge Scientific Computing Platform

About the role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to design and operate the infrastructure that powers a fast‑growing deep‑tech company at the intersection of AI, computational science, and pharmaceutical innovation. You will build systems from the ground up, enabling rapid experimentation and accelerating drug discovery research.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain self‑hosted CI/CD pipelines that developers love to use.
• Orchestrate containerised workloads across distributed infrastructure.
• Create and manage observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, alerting) for real‑time system insight.
• Own infrastructure‑as‑code using Ansible and automate provisioning and configuration.
• Collaborate directly with R&D teams and leadership to scale architecture for scientific computing.
• Ensure reliability, security and performance of production environments.

Required profile

• Strong background in DevOps, Platform Engineering or SRE.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Podman or similar container ecosystems.
• Proven ability to build CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, alerting systems).
• Solid Linux fundamentals and scripting skills.
• Self‑starter mindset comfortable working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
