DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & QA Automation

About the role

We are partnering with a leading insurance client on a large‑scale transformation programme and need a DevOps / QA Engineer to design, build and maintain resilient CI/CD infrastructure. The role sits at the intersection of DevOps, platform engineering and quality assurance, with a strong focus on automation, platform resilience and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Build, optimise and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Develop and maintain automated smoke, integration, performance and security tests within the release lifecycle.
• Design automated rollback and fail‑over procedures to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose build failures and drive remediation.
• Support continuous improvement of deployment automation, testing standards and release quality.
• Prepare and deliver weekly system demonstrations covering infrastructure health, performance benchmarks and security metrics.
• Contribute to best‑practice documentation for DevOps, QA automation and release engineering.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD engineering and QA/testing environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments is a plus.
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code practices is desirable.

• Scripting for reusable automation and verification (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
