DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Kubernetes (Dublin/Belfast/Malta)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team across Dublin, Belfast or Malta. The role focuses on building and operating cloud‑native platforms using Kubernetes and AWS, while driving automation, observability and cost optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Kubernetes (EKS) platforms on AWS.
• Support and optimise CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Harness.io.
• Implement and manage observability tooling, primarily Datadog.
• Enhance and support AWS cloud infrastructure environments.
• Review, optimise and document deployment and operational processes.
• Ensure change‑management aligns with security and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with development teams to enable self‑service platform capabilities.
• Support incident response and platform reliability initiatives.
• Analyse and optimise cloud infrastructure costs.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a senior DevOps or Platform Engineering role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, especially AWS EKS.
• Experience with AWS ECS and a broad range of AWS services (compute, databases, security).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Hands‑on experience with observability tools, preferably Datadog.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and/or Bash.
• Good understanding of container security best practices.
• Experience working in regulated or security‑focused environments.

What we offer

• Competitive salary up to €90,000 per year (or £78,000).
• Hybrid working model – 2 to 3 days onsite.
• Full‑time permanent contract.
