DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are partnering with a leading insurance client to drive a large‑scale transformation programme. The DevOps / QA Engineer will own the design, implementation and continuous improvement of resilient CI/CD infrastructure, automated testing and deployment reliability across critical enterprise platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Build, optimise and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Develop and maintain automated smoke, integration, performance and security tests within the release lifecycle.
• Design automated rollback and failover procedures to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose build failures and lead remediation activities.
• Support continuous improvement of deployment automation, testing standards and release quality.
• Prepare weekly system demonstrations covering infrastructure health, performance benchmarks and security metrics.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD engineering and QA/testing environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Experience troubleshooting deployment failures and supporting highly available production systems.

Required skills

• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Deployment automation and version control workflows (e.g., Git).
• Automated testing frameworks for integration and infrastructure testing.
• Scripting proficiency for reusable automation (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Cloud infrastructure concepts and Infrastructure as Code practices.
