Direct Tax Manager

About the role

The Direct Tax Manager will join a leading international retail brand’s newly created Tax Centre of Excellence. Reporting to the Head of Tax, the role combines corporate tax compliance, transfer pricing, and digital tax automation to support business growth in a rapidly changing tax environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end direct tax and transfer pricing compliance lifecycle, including country‑by‑country reporting and statutory filings.
• Own Pillar Two reporting requirements and related documentation.
• Develop and maintain transfer pricing methodologies, documentation and guidelines.
• Monitor international legislative changes and assess their impact on the global group.
• Provide tax advisory support and build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Define requirements for tax automation, digital reporting and system/process changes.
• Create leadership reporting and forecasting tools to drive strategic value.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, data and IT teams to implement automated reporting solutions.

Required profile

• Fully qualified AITI / CTA (or equivalent international qualification).
• Minimum 7 years of dedicated corporate tax experience.
• Hands‑on experience with transfer pricing regulations and methodologies.
• Exceptional written, oral and presentation skills, able to translate complex tax concepts for non‑tax audiences.
• Strong collaborative mindset and ability to work across finance, legal and technology teams.
