Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Electrical Maintenance Technician will join the Facilities Management Maintenance Team, providing electrical support across multiple commercial buildings in the Sandyford/Leopardstown area. Working a 39‑hour week, you will ensure equipment reliability and client satisfaction through proactive maintenance and rapid issue resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned and preventative maintenance on emergency lighting, distribution boards, PAT testing equipment and lighting control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve on‑site electrical faults, escalating when necessary.
• Update and close tasks in the client’s CAFM system, ensuring accurate records.
• Assist subcontractors, handle quotation queries and source spare parts.
• Comply with health, safety, environmental and quality legislation and contribute to continuous improvement targets.
• Undertake ad‑hoc projects, repairs and occasional non‑electrical tasks to support the team.

Required profile

• Qualified electrician with at least 5 years of maintenance experience in a similar environment.
• Relevant certifications such as SOLAS Safe Pass, Qualified Certifier (QC) or C&G verification, IOSH or equivalent health & safety training.
• Ability to work flexibly, maintain uniform standards and use PPE appropriately.
