Emergency Medicine Registrar (Start July 2026)

About the role
The Hospital is seeking a Registrar in Emergency Medicine to join its 24/7 Emergency Department from July 2026. The role involves delivering acute emergency care to a diverse catch‑area covering East Galway, Westmeath, North Tipperary, Roscommon and Offaly.
Key responsibilities
- Provide emergency medicine care in the 24/7 Emergency Department serving a high‑volume population.
- Participate in weekly teaching sessions covering internal medicine topics, MRCP preparation and advanced clinical skills.
- Engage in monthly inter‑professional simulation training for deteriorating patients.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years post‑internship experience.
- Active registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
- Evidence of meeting English language requirements as per HSE HR Circular 063/2020.
- Experience working within the Irish healthcare system, preferably in Emergency Medicine.
- Desirable: Completion or ongoing pursuit of MRCEM or FRCEM qualifications.
Required skills
- Emergency Medicine clinical expertise.
- IMC registration.
