Engineering Graduate Programme – 2-Year Rotational Scheme

About the role

The Engineering Graduate Programme at King & Moffatt Building Services is a two‑year, rotational development scheme designed for recent engineering graduates. Participants will rotate through four key areas – Operations, Design/BIM, EHSQ, and Commercial – gaining hands‑on experience across both office and site environments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in interpreting contract specifications, employer requirements and construction drawings.
• Support procurement activities by preparing order requests, updating trackers and liaising with suppliers.
• Study service schematics and P&ID drawings for water, heating, cooling, ventilation and electrical systems.
• Perform hydraulic line and ventilation duct sizing on live projects.
• Use specialised software to carry out cable calculations.
• Learn installation methods for electrical containment, conduits, trays and ladder racks.
• Understand pipework components, jointing techniques, valves and gauges.
• Apply EHSQ procedures on site, including risk assessments, method statements and SPA documentation.
• Prepare variation orders and issue tender packages to subcontractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and maximise the benefits of the programme.
