Equipment Maintenance Apprenticeship

About the role

Analog Devices, a global semiconductor company, is recruiting for its Equipment Maintenance Apprenticeship in Limerick. Applications are open for the Summer 2026 intake of a 3-year programme that combines on-the-job training with college-based education, so you can earn a recognised qualification while gaining practical experience. The apprentice works with the Equipment Engineering group from year 1 and receives mentoring from Semiconductor Equipment subject matter experts.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in alternating stages of on-the-job training and college-based education.
• Learn and apply technical skills related to semiconductor equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
• Work closely with experienced technicians and engineers on team projects.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain accurate records of equipment performance, maintenance and training progress.

Required profile

• Commitment to a 3-year apprenticeship programme.
• Interest in manufacturing engineering and equipment technology.
• Proven experience in engineering, mechanical work, plumbing, woodwork, pneumatics or similar.
• Preferred: minimum leaving certificate with at least one STEM subject, and previous engineering or related study.
