Robotics and Automation Graduate

About the role

Analog Devices is hiring a Robotics and Automation Graduate for its Limerick site, which manufactures integrated circuits used across industrial and consumer electronics. The position is based in the Class 10 cleanroom wafer fabrication facility, working with advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment and robotic systems. It is a graduate role open to candidates with limited industry experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planned and unplanned tool repair and maintenance.
• Support root cause troubleshooting and fault finding down to component level.
• Contribute to ongoing tool development and enhancement, including robotic automation improvements.
• Drive improvement projects independently and as part of a team.
• Collaborate with mentors on hands-on investigations and hardware resolutions.
• Participate in presentations on completed work, learnings and recommendations.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics and diagrams using test equipment.
• Gain exposure to robotic wafer handling systems, automated material transfer platforms and precision robotics, including calibration and maintenance of robotic arms and automated handlers, and troubleshooting of motion control systems and sensors.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (NFQ Level 7) or Honours Bachelor's degree (NFQ Level 8), graduated in the last two years.
• Understanding of a regulated environment or an equipment maintenance role in manufacturing; hand tool experience is an advantage.
• Ability to demonstrate analytical troubleshooting methods (root cause analysis, problem solving, 5-why) and first-time-right repair skills.
• Able to follow preventative maintenance and standard work procedures.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Open to a 5-cycle shift pattern; the role is shift-based with a competitive shift premium.
