Mixed Signal Design Engineer

About the role

Analog Devices is hiring a Mixed Signal Design Engineer in Limerick. You will design and develop mixed-signal integrated circuits, including ADCs, DACs, PLLs and power management blocks, working with cross-functional teams to deliver robust mixed-signal solutions. The role requires a solid foundation in both analog and digital domains and involves moderate guidance from senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Circuit design and development of mixed-signal ICs, including power management ICs, ADCs, DACs and PLLs
• Schematic design, verification and lab characterization of ICs to meet specifications
• Simulations for performance, noise, timing and power optimization
• Integration of analog and digital IP and test planning for block-level and system-level verification
• Technical documentation of designs, specifications and test results
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams and support of silicon validation

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field
• 2+ years of relevant mixed-signal design experience
• Ability to solve moderately complex mixed-signal design problems and to guide junior members
• Clear communication of technical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders

Required skills

• Mixed-signal IC design and CMOS technology
• ADC/DAC design and simulation with SPICE, MATLAB and Cadence Design Suite
• EDA tools such as Cadence and Synopsys
• Laboratory characterization and testing of circuit blocks and ICs
