Experienced Buyer – Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join a busy manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for procuring direct and indirect materials and services, managing suppliers, and ensuring a continuous supply flow to meet production needs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships, issue RFQs, create purchase orders, and monitor delivery schedules.
• Expedite orders, resolve supplier issues, non‑conformances, and handle returns.
• Source new suppliers and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support dual‑sourcing strategies to mitigate supply risk.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Engineering, and other internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data in the ERP system.
• Monitor supplier performance and communicate potential supply risks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong supplier management and negotiation abilities.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• IPICS/APICS training or qualification is desirable.

Required skills

• Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
