Financial Controller (Part-time, Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a part-time Financial Controller to join our growing beverage brand in Galway. Working in a hybrid model, you will manage day-to-day financial operations and support strategic decision-making for a purpose-driven company.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers and ensure timely posting of transactions.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting and support financial planning.
• Monitor internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors and banking partners.
• Provide financial insights to aid strategic decisions and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in accounting and finance, preferably with experience in an SME or start-up environment.
• Professional qualification or progression toward ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent, or a relevant degree.
• Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with founders and cross-functional teams.
• Interest in sustainable, purpose-led businesses, especially in the food and beverage sector.

• Advanced use of spreadsheets.
