Financial Controller – Waterford

About the role

Matrix Recruitment is looking for a commercially‑minded Financial Controller to join a growing business in Waterford. You will own the finance function, providing insight and analysis that supports strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the finance function.
• Prepare monthly financial and management accounts.
• Deliver financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow analysis.
• Present financial results and strategic insights to senior stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in finance processes and systems.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) – preferred.
• Experience in management accounts and financial reporting.
• Experience managing or supervising a finance team (beneficial).
• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.

Required skills

• Highly proficient in Excel with strong analytical and forecasting capabilities.
