Fullstack Developer – Contract (Hybrid, Dublin)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced fullstack developer to join a public‑sector client in Dublin on a contract basis. The role is hybrid, with three days remote and one day onsite each week, focusing on enhancing a web‑based Apprenticeship Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new functionality and enhancements for the Apprenticeship Management System.
• Support both front‑end and back‑end development using VB.NET, C#, HTML, CSS/Bootstrap, TypeScript/JavaScript, and ASP.NET.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application issues.
• Provide front‑line technical support to end users.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into Epics and User Stories.
• Collaborate within Agile SCRUM delivery teams.
• Apply modern engineering practices in a legacy application environment.
• Implement and maintain unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and automated QA testing.
• Maintain source code repositories using Git and TFVC.
• Participate in the full SDLC, from analysis and design to deployment and maintenance.

Required profile

• Public‑sector experience is essential.
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with .NET (VB.NET and C#) and SQL Server, including stored procedures and database design.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS/Bootstrap, JavaScript/TypeScript, and ASP.NET.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks, Git, TFVC, and design patterns.
• Ability to work across legacy and modern technology stacks.
• Experience delivering medium to large‑scale enterprise applications.
• Understanding of secure development practices for public‑facing applications.
• Proven track record in Agile SCRUM environments.

What we offer

• Contract length of 240 days.
• Hybrid work model: three days remote, one day onsite (Wednesday) in Dublin 1.
• Standard Monday‑Friday, 8‑hour workday.
