Full‑Time Day Porter – Hotel Guest Services

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Day Porter to join The Gleneagle Hotel team on Muckross Road. This permanent, year‑round position involves welcoming guests, assisting with luggage, and supporting hotel operations to ensure a warm and professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a polite, efficient porter service to all guests, delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Greet guests at the entrance, assist with luggage, guide them to rooms and explain room features.
• Offer information on hotel facilities, local attractions, events and directions.
• Serve guests in the lobby area as needed and support other departments during busy periods.
• Set up and break down meeting rooms and assist with any ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality or tourism is an advantage.
• Positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for guest care.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Flexibility to work weekends and full‑time throughout the year.
